Happy New Year!
2015 has arrived!! Christmas and New Years my favourite time of the year. A time to celebrate and reflect on the past year and then press reset and head into a brand spanking new year full of new opportunities and surprises. Also 5 is my favourite number so this year I am super excited and looking forward to having a fantastic year!
It’s about this time that most of the population is setting their New Year resolutions, which no doubt will always be forgotten by February. I’ve been there, done that. Resolutions for me, never work.
Instead of resolutions, I like to set a New Year to do list. It’s a list compiled of 12 to 24 things I want to complete this year. Some of the items on my to do list are small, such as donate blood while others on the list are bigger ‘to do’s’. (I like to have an even mix of smaller and bigger items on the list). Most of the items are things I haven’t done before or have been wanting to do for a while but have never set plans in place to do them.
Inevitably, every year there is items on my list involving houses and property. This year I have on my list to renovate my bathrooms and laundry (which are long overdue) as well as a lot of house painting. But as well as property goals I try to make my list a balance of items that will give me satisfaction when they are complete, and items that I can look forward to doing, such as live shows (I will be going to at least 4 this year), high teas and travel.
Do you take the time at the beginning of the year to plan your year? Have you taken some time to sit down and think about this year? What does 2015 hold for you? What are some big and small goals you want to put a big fat tick next to on your ‘to do’ list?
Or if you need help planning some bigger goals, then head over to our shop and download our Goal Setting Workbook. It’s 27 pages of goal setting goodness!!
Until next time…
